Google uses mobile-first indexing, which means that the mobile version of any website is considered the primary version for indexing and ranking.
A well-designed responsive site can improve your visibility on search engines and ultimately drive more traffic and conversions
I’m Jakub, a third-year computer science student with a passion for web development.
Initially, web development was an introduction to programming and a
hobby for me. However, the joy of creative work and learning about web design
has ignited a passion that I am eager to pursue professionally.
Outside of work, I am a positive and open person who enjoys traveling, which
helps me appreciate different cultures and broaden my perspective.
I also listen to podcasts about marketing and psychology, which I find enriches
my design projects by incorporating insights into user behavior and engagement.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion and skills to a
professional setting, where I can continue to grow and contribute to impactful
web development projects.
I have extensive skills in managing and creating websites using WordPress. I specialize in editing pages with Elementor, which allows me to create unique and functional websites. I am also proficient in creating responsive designs that provide excellent user experiences across various devices and enhance their visibility in search engines.
UI alone is not enough to make a website or application user-friendly. This is where UX comes in, focusing on the users and helping us understand their needs. The process of prototyping and usability testing is a crucial part of every project. To better understand this, I completed an online course at the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned a certificate in “Introduction to User Experience Design.”
“It is a popular tool for designers, product managers, writers and developers and helps anyone involved in the design process contribute, give feedback, and make better decisions, faster.”
While watching design videos on YouTube, I learned that Figma is recommended by most marketing and development agencies. This has allowed me to learn how to create Low-Fi and High-Fi prototypes, which are now an essential part of my design process.
While working with experienced web developers, I learned about the importance of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The book “The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization” was instrumental in helping me acquire knowledge on this topic. I realized that a website must be refined in many aspects, not just its appearance.
HTML and CSS were the first languages that introduced me to the world of programming. My initial web applications expanded my knowledge of SASS and the Bootstrap framework on the front-end, as well as PHP and MySQL on the back-end.
Through my studies, my skills have also extended to C++ and C#, which are used for developing computer games.
I have learned practical skills and knowledge applied in various IT-related fields, like:
The specialization in programming computer games allows me to develop creative thinking and provides me with a different perspective on user experience and interface.
